Welcome to the Craig County Boys bluegrass band.
Thank you for taking some time to visit with us.
In 2005, the Craig County Boys celebrated their 35th anniversary
of playing traditional bluegrass music together with a
new album - Springtime on the Mountain.
You can listen to samples
of the songs on this album at our online retailer, CDbaby.com.
Now we're playing strong in our 38th year.
The band was founded in 1970 by lead singer/guitarist/songwriter James
Christian and mandolinist Donnie Myers, which makes the band the most
enduring of Southwest Virginia groups. We have a distinctive sound that
derives from the powerful lead vocals of James Christian and the lyrical
mix of their instrumentalists and harmonies. The Craig County Boys is one
of the most active bluegrass groups in the Roanoke, Virginia area, playing
everywhere from fancy banquets to concerts to private parties, bluegrass
festivals, and old country churches. We have a large following of fans,
friends, and family who love their music and appreciate the band's commitment
to keeping traditional bluegrass alive and kickin'!
The Craig County Boys have three CDs available, including the new Springtime
on the Mountain. To hear some of their music and to find links where you
can buy their albums online, visit OLDE
